Task Assignments

When creating a task using the Create Document Task activity in Robot Studio, it is important to assign the task to at least one user or a user group. However, if you need to reassign the task to another user or users, it can be done using Robot Cloud. For detailed information on using Robot Cloud for task reassignment, please refer to the Robot Cloud documentation.

To assign a task to a user during its creation, follow these steps:

  1. Open your workflow in Robot Studio.

  2. Drag and drop the Create Document Task activity into your workflow.

  3. Configure the necessary properties of the Create Document Task activity as explained in the previous documentation.

  4. In the Assign section of the activity, locate the Task Users property.

  5. Click the refresh button (usually represented by a circular arrow) next to the Task Users property. This will update the list of available users or user groups.

  6. Begin typing the username of the user to whom you want to assign the task in the textbox.

  7. Select the desired user from the suggestions that appear.

  8. If you want to assign the task to multiple users, you can continue typing and selecting additional usernames.

  9. If you prefer to assign the task to a user group instead, type the name of the user group directly in the User Groups property.

By following these steps, you can assign the task to the desired user or user group during its creation. Remember that at least one user or user group must be assigned to the task. For reassigning tasks to different users or performing more advanced task management functionalities, Robot Cloud provides additional capabilities and should be referred to for further guidance.

For detailed instructions on using Robot Cloud and its functionalities, please refer to the official Robot Cloud documentation.
