Hosts in Robot Cloud

A host is a machine where robots are deployed to perform their tasks. Currently, Robot Cloud supports Windows hosts. Linux hosts are not currently supported, but support will be added soon.

Setting Up a Host

  1. Download the Robot Assistant client application: This application acts as an interface between your host machine and Robot Cloud.

  2. Install the Robot Assistant client application: After downloading the application, run the installer on the machine you wish to designate as your host.

  3. Log in to Robot Assistant: After installation, launch the Robot Assistant and log in using your Robot Cloud credentials. This step is crucial as it registers the machine with Robot Cloud and makes it available as a host.

  4. Deploy Robots to your Host: Once your host machine is registered and connected to Robot Cloud, you can deploy any of the robots you have published. These robots will perform their tasks on this host machine.

Remember that the host machine must remain connected to Robot Cloud for robot tasks to execute successfully.

Keep an eye on our updates for the upcoming Linux support!
