Desktop Element Selector Editor Window

Edit the selector

This editor window is designed to help you modify the selector for a selected element on the desktop. This window provides you with the ability to add and edit the selector directly from within the editor.

The Desktop element selector editor mainly contains 3 parts Visual Tree, Selector and the Property Explorer.

  1. Visual Tree: The Visual Tree displays a hierarchical representation of the selected desktop element. It shows the structure of elements and their relationships, allowing you to visually understand the organization of the elements on the desktop.

  2. Selector: The Selector section displays the current selector for the selected desktop element. The selector is a unique identifier that helps the automation tool locate and interact with the specific element on the desktop. It is a combination of properties and attributes that uniquely identify the element.

  3. Property Explorer: The Property Explorer provides a list of properties associated with the selector of the selected desktop element. These properties define various characteristics and attributes of the element, such as its name, location, or type.

We can add selector for a specific desktop element by using the Selector Indicator.

Within the Selector Editor window, you have the flexibility to directly edit the properties of the selector for the desktop element. This allows you to fine-tune and customize the selector based on your specific requirements.

By leveraging the Selector Editor, you can effectively modify the selector for desktop elements, ensuring accurate identification and interaction during your automation processes.
